The Cut Fashion Academy owner Liza Deyrmenjian has over 25 years of experience in the industry and a wealth of knowledge. From building multiple successful brands herself, to helping others build successful brands she’s done it all, and she wants to share her knowledge with you!

Derek Baskerville has 35 years of experience in the Costume industry. From theater to film he’s experienced it all. Derek teaches our Basic Costuming for Film and Television Program. We can tell you from the amount of head turns we see in the studio when he’s teaching, he keeps it interesting!

We want to congratulate Shirley Tang on her feature in British Vogue for her Depop shop - Oriens! Shirley was a Portfolio Preparation student here at The Cut. We were proud to help her build her successful application to Parsons, and couldn't be happier to see her making strides in her career!

Have you heard of Rewiring fashion? Well if not, rewiring fashion is a proposal facilitated by Business of Fashion and backed by brands like Jason Wu, Missoni, Prabal Gurung, Oscar de la Renta and so many more, to make a change in the fashion industry. The proposal focuses on two main items, reseting the fashion calendar, and reimagining fashion shows.
