Let’s talk about ingenuity, innovation, and necessity. If you had asked us a couple of years ago for trend forecast on 2020 and 2021, would anyone have said FACEMASKS?! Let’s all take a moment and appreciate the new accessory that is spicing up our daily attire. Major celebrities including Naomi Campbell and Howie Mandell are adding a little ‘extra’ to their looks. While hazmat suits are far from being this year's‘ little black dress,’ there is no question that face masks are de riguer in the time of Covid.
Okay, yes we get it. It’s important to be cautious in times like these, but come on.. Hazmat suits?! Experts now say that the hazmat suits pictured below don’t actually prevent exposure to the virus itself so what are these celebrities thinking? We are amused to say the least. There are of course medical-grade hazmat that will protect you, but these ones are redundant.Here are some of our favorite snapshots of these celebs in full hazmat gear. Dare we say it’s kind of iconic?
With this new societal shift in hygiene awareness, we want to share with you some of our favorite fashion moments around the globe that embrace the essence of hygiene, hazmat and the theatre of it all. Designers around the world seem to be anticipating a drastic change in haute-couture and ready-to-wear collections. Think ventilators, hazmats and well... really it’s just a nod to 90’s ravers? Here are our faves from Maison Margiela’s Fall 2018 collection, it was a majorly accurate prediction on their part.
