Classes Include
Drawing + CAD
In this module, you will be taught how to document your ideas and designs through drawing and drafting for clients, contractors, and your own reference by learning how to easily explore perspectives, sketch, and rendering to help visualize the space and make more informed design choices
Materials, Fabrics, Components
In this robust module, you will study the different architectural elements that will be included in your floor plans, such as doors, windows and coverings, fireplaces, and lighting fixtures and evaluate a site and assess existing structures in order to create a master plan and implement your ideas
Design and Decoration Detail
In this module, you will learn how to make strategic and conceptual decisions for your design projects based on the desired function, style and mood of the space. Implementing all the skills you have learned throughout the course, you will now create designs and specifications for a variety of interior spaces. Using colour, texture, furniture and finishes, you will learn how to create beautiful and functional rooms that are perfectly planned and well thought out.
Portfolio and Professional Practices
This module will teach you the business of being an interior decorator. We’ll show you how to put together proposals and budgets, as well as honing your management skills. After this you will be able to keep any project on schedule and on budget.

Meet your professors
Nikki Renshaw
Nikki Renshaw is an Interior Designer and Educator. After completing her Degree at Central St Martins in London, UK, Nikki worked in television, hosting Arts and Entertainment shows on ITV as well as writing for national magazines and newspapers. After moving to Vancouver, she hosted a talk radio show on CFUN radio for a decade, while launching her interior design business in 2010. Since 2016, Nikki has been combining her Interior Design work with teaching. “I had a wonderful mentor when I was starting out my career and I am ever thankful to her,” she says. “Teaching for me is my opportunity to mentor others.”
