Currently enrolled in TCFDA’s 2-year Diploma Program, entrepreneur Ghali Alissami arrived in Canada as a Turkish refugee. He is pursuing this line of study to acquire the needed professional academic and technical knowledge to help launch a career as a fashion designer.

“My choice of the Cut was primarily because of the hands-on practical experience that the program provides especially that I wanted something focused and non-theoretical that would save me time,” says Ghali.

Upon graduation, he plans to expand his Galilio brand internationally and launch a Vancouver-based showroom. The location would include three sections: haute couture, business, and boho chic. Future plans include a yearly fashion show in Turkey, Europe, and a selection of cities in North America to launch new collections in.

Ghali shares, “What excites me the most about the next step is embarking on my journey to bring my designs to life and see my dream come true by translating my vision into a well renowned successful brand that would be known internationally.”

We are also excited to be a big part of this journey, and will share more as Ghali continues his classes.
