5 Ways to Survive Vancouver’s Heatwave
With the heat rising up to 32 degrees this weekend in Vancouver, here are some tips to help you prepare for the sun!
2.Bikini is Not the Only Solution
As much as I hate to say it, we cannot wear bikinis to work. Unless you are a coast guard! So, get creative and level up your tank top game, slip on some shorts or opt for sundresses. Girls, let this summer scream cute and sexy! Men, put on some chubbies or beach shorts and let them drool over your quads!
2. Let your body breathe
Learn to identify fabrics that allow your skin to breathe. Don’t suffocate your body when it’s already scorching hot outside. Stick to cotton, linen, silk, hemp and such light, flowy materials to allow wind to pass through.
3. Hats, Sunglasses, and Umbrellas-
If you are headed outside, don’t forget to put on an extra set of protection from the sun. Throw on a cute hat, vibrant sunglasses or even a cute umbrella for the beach. Let this summer be the season to accessorize and bring out your unique personality!
4. Sunscreen Saves the Day
It’s always a great idea to put on sunscreen even if you have makeup on your face. Don’t forget to prep your skin before you head out and you will feel your skin thanking you in return.
5. Touchup over Makeup
It’s important to create a dewy glow instead of covering your full face with thick layers of foundation. Proudly show those freckles and learn about your skin type. It is important to understand what your skin wants and treat it with care in the summer.
Finally, the most important thing to remember is to hydrate between margaritas and enjoy the summer while it lasts! Wear your confidence and let yourself shine brighter than the sun!
