    Stephanie Janyk

Stephanie Janyk brings over 20 years of styling and wardrobe costuming experience in fashion, film and television. Raised in Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia - Stephanie was drawn to fashion and performing at a young age and jumped at a unique opportunity to live and work in New York city as a nanny for a prominent fashion family. While in NY, a chance meeting with larger than life costume designer Rosemary Ponzo lead to a first row education, working under Rosemary on a number of indie films, theatre productions and commercials - learning the history as much as the craft of costuming. Stephanie also pursued an acting education in NY and LA during this time, but ultimately turned her mind to home and other artistic pursuits, enrolling in the Film and Integrated Media Program at Emily Carr University. While at Emily Carr, she assisted friends and colleagues with music video shoots providing set dec, props and costume as necessary. Upon graduation, Stephanie began working with local wardrobe stylists such as (name drop) while continuing to develop her own portfolio of creative editorial photoshoots. This inevitably put her into the orbit of the local film industry. Stephanie has been an IATSE 891 member in good standing since 2015 and has vast experience in a variety of roles within the costume department.
