You Will Learn:
- Basic digitizing and digital pattern making skills
- Advanced Gerber functions: dart manipulation, fullness manipulations, pleating
- To create advanced patterns
- To create grading maps
- Two methods of grading on Gerber (simple and grade rule)
- Full size run markers and plotting
Projects Include:
- Graded pants with contour waistband and back welt pockets
- Graded technical streetwear jacket with dropped shoulders
Intermediate Gerber Accumark: Pattern Making And Grading Virtual Part-Time
Now you’ve mastered the Gerber basics, learn more advanced functions associated with digitizing, plotting (print), manipulating pattern and marker making.
Important Notes
- Classes of two or fewer students are considered private classes. In this instance, you’ll complete all assignments as listed in six weeks rather than eight.
- If you’re going to miss class for any reason, please email in advance to let us know. If you fail to report your absence within 24 hours, your class will be considered a missed session and no make up class will be provided.

Jessica Hsu
Jessica has worked in the fashion industry for almost three decades for brands such as Karma Athletics, Lotuswear Designs Ltd., and Design Group—just to name a few. In addition to these valuable experiences, she designs, creates and produces pet wear, uniforms, wedding gowns and other custom formal wear with impressive results.
Chay Clayton
VCAD Alumni, who has been working at The Cutting Room for two years, pattern making and sample sewing. Chay has been a favorite instructor to many of The Cut's students for the last two years and now enjoys teaching Gerber Digital Pattern Making at The Cut.
