With 2020 wrapping up, we can all agree that it has been a trying year dominated by a pandemic, emotions, and isolation. BUT! We have also witnessed the resilience of the world. A massive amount of creativity has emerged including virtual runways, the podcast explosion, and AI-assisted online shopping. It is safe to say that the past year has taught us to move in a positive direction all around and not take anything for granted. That includes our planet and our attitude towards waste, sustainability, and the carbon footprint of the textile chain.

Started by it girl Phoebe Tonkin, Les Jour is a brand that was created for the modern woman. Especially in the current climate versatile dressing is everything! Phoebe says “I was starting the day in pyjamas, changing into sweatpants, adding a nice blouse if I had a video call, and then throwing a coat over it all to go to the grocery store.” Les Jour gives you the perfect outfits to take you through the day no matter what you have going on, and the best part, it’s all made from 100% renewable resources!

Sthr creates seasonless pieces that are built with a foundation of sustainability. The brand focuses not only on craftsmanship and quality products but also fair wages, and not creating more textile waste. Sthr’s designs are both feminine and cool, check out their Insta.

IINDACO

Created by Pamela Costantini and Domitilla Rapisardi, IIndaco is a luxury sustainable footwear brand. With 10-years of experience in the industry, the pair are creating shoes with a circular business model that they hope will be a reference for the fashion world.

Etikette

Etikette started to find the perfect all-in-one coat, “somethings that’s practical yet cool” as the website states. They have two styles of jackets at three different lengths and both just as cool as the other. Their model focuses on building jackets that withstand over time and will not go out of style.

Benjamin Fox
